Jabiru Safari Lodge provides a sanctuary for outback wildlife in the heart of the 2000 hectares Mareeba Tropical Savanna and Wetlands Reserve. With Advanced Ecotourism Accreditation and a Finalist in Ecotourism and Sustainability at the 2008 Queensland Tourism Awards, it protects over 5000 acres of Savanna woodland, including 350 acres of regionally important wetlands. Income from sustainable tourism is reinvested in the Reserve to manager and research its exceptional biodiversity, such as the breeding and reintroduction program for the critically endangered Gouldian Finch.
Your Lodge Host and Reserve Guide will make your welcome and be happy to assist to make your stay memorable and rewarding. The luxury African-style tented safari cabins blend into the open Savannah Woodland providing comfortable overnight accommodation, furnished with high quality furniture and many facilities.
